Alexander Goshen Proposes Five-Story Apartment at 5802 N Florida Ave in Seminole Heights

Alexander Goshen’s proposed five-story apartment development at 5802 N. Florida Avenue in Tampa’s Seminole Heights neighborhood reflects the firm’s continued focus on strategic, community-centered multifamily development in high-growth Florida markets. As reported by Floridian Development, Alexander Goshen recently filed a rezoning request for the corner of Florida Avenue and Henry Avenue, where early plans call for a five-story residential building with 67 apartment homes and 5,269 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The proposed project, designed by Goode Van Slyke Architecture, would bring new housing, neighborhood-serving retail, and increased pedestrian activity to one of Tampa’s most rapidly evolving urban corridors. The development is also expected to include resident and retail parking, bicycle parking, and a contemporary architectural design featuring stucco finishes, balcony railings, vertical plank accents, and a potential rooftop deck. Located in Seminole Heights, an area experiencing continued investment, infrastructure improvements, and new residential momentum, the 5802 N. Florida Avenue project highlights Alexander Goshen’s ability to identify well-positioned infill sites and advance developments that support walkability, housing supply, and commercial activation. For Miles Alexander III and Alexander Goshen, the proposal represents another example of thoughtful urban redevelopment that aligns with Tampa Bay’s growing need for quality housing and mixed-use neighborhood investment.
